After the news that Robbie could be about to rejoin Take That, the band have come forward and spoken about the decision to bring Robbie back and, they are not…yet.

Gary Barlow has said that he has read the story so many times and there are no plans to bring Robbie back just yet. Robbie is also recording his new album as well and take that are currently in LA mixing their album, The Circus.

Take That band member, Jason Orange also commented on how Robbie changes his mind. He told the press that one minute Robbie is ready to come back and then in the next breath he wants to do his own thing. If I were Robbie I would go back to Take That. However they are touring this summer so he would probably have to wait.

Mark Owen has said that since the band reformed they communicate with Robbie on a regular basis. I think they are just happy that the dust has settled and they are all in contact again.

They want me back for good…really?

Robbie Williams had admitted that he is ready to return as a member of Take That.

Whether this is true or not Williams believes that he has mended the rift between him and fellow band member Gary Barlow. He also mentioned that the band want him back.

Robbie is apparently in constant contact with the band and is just awaiting a phone call from Barlow inviting him back. He feels as though the time is right but some others may not.

Since Take That reformed they have had endless chart success with songs such as Patience, Shine and The Greatest Day. So, is there a place for Robbie there? At the height of his success, Williams was worth millions and was probably one of the most repsected artists in both the UK and America. However a few unstable years that left him in rehab have wiped him off the music scene completely.

Last month when Barlow was asked if he would want Robbie to return he commented that it was not the right time. Maybe Robbie has got his wires crossed and Take That will continue their success with four members instead of four and a half because I am unsure of Williams’ capability. It is a shame because there was a time when he could not do anything better. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens and if he does return, what effects will it have on the band?

Celebs reach the summit of Kilimanjaro

7 03 2009

They have almost become a family when it comes to my blog but I can now reveal that thanks to that great corporation known as the BBC, the nine celebs climbing Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief have reached the summit, and quicker than I thought.

The celebs made it to the top in groups. Cheryl Cole, Denise Van Outen, Fearne Cotton and Ben Shepherd were the first to make it this morning as dawn broke. Kimberley Walsh, Gary Barlow and Ronan Keating were the next to arrive. It is believed that they were in a lot of pain. Chris Moyles arrived after them and finally Alesha Dixon.

Earlier Cheryl Cole had explained the hike as the most physically challenging thing she has ever done. The temperature dropped to minus 15 and the lack of oxygen meant it was difficult for the celebs to keep their strength up. The majority of them have had problems during the 19,300 ft climb.

Between them they have raised a staggering total of £1.4 million for Comic Relief. You can watch the celebs climbing the mountain next Thursday on BBC One in ‘Kilimanjaro: The Big Red Nose Climb’ at 8:00 pm. Look out for it in my ‘What To Watch’ section next week.

Update from Kilimanjaro. Cole sick

5 03 2009

Cheryl Cole has been projectile vomiting due to altitude sickness it has been reported.

Cole told Radio One that she has been struggling with the constant change in altitude and has been feeling unwell. She did not feel any better when she saw a man being carried down the mountain on a stretcher.

The nine celebs are expected to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro on Monday. Gary Barlow could get there sooner after being taken on a short cut due to back problems.

Celebs finding mountain trek tough

4 03 2009

The nine celebs taking part in the hike to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro have faced countless problems during their fourth day.

I reported yesteday how Alesha Dixon had fallen off a ledge while answering the call of nature. She has made a recovery but Chris Moyles and Fearne Cotton have not had the best day. Moyles has been experiencing vertigo and Cotton has been suffering nosebleeds because of the rise in altitude.

Gary Barlow, who has back pains has been escorted to a short cut up the mountain because he was finding the trek too taxing. Meanwhile Girls Aloud stars Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh got a shock when they saw a climber being carried down the mountain on a stretcher. Let’s just hope that the nine celebs make it to the top in one piece and make it back to London for the Comic Relief telethon on 13 March.
