Carr and O’Grady for Radio 2

16 03 2009

Paul O’Grady and Alan Carr are to become regular fixtures at Radio 2 due to a weekend scheduling shakeup.

Both of them have presented on the station before as ‘stand-ins’ and O’Grady thought it was about time he had a regular slot and was very pleased with the decision. The shakeup will see O’Grady present a Sunday teatime show and Carr will team up with Emma Forbes on Saturday evenings with her co-host taking over the vacated Russell Brand slot.

Another presenter moving shows in the shakeup is veteran broadcaster Johnnie Walker. He will now move from Saturdays to Sundays.

COMIC RELIEF FUNNY FOR MONEY

BBC ONE 7:00 PM

It’s a night filled with some of the best comedy around. The telethon which lasts for around 8 hours tonight will see comedians such as James Corden, the cast of The Royle Family and Ricky Gervais doing things that are funny for money. Also on the bill are performances from Take That, Girls Aloud and some of the biggest bands around. The hosts tonight include, Graham Norton, Davina McCall, Fern Britton, Jonathan Ross and Claudia Winkleman.

French and Saunders will also perform their last sketch ever which is a shame because they are just so funny. The Big Red Nose Climb will also come to and end and fans of the outstanding episode of last nights Apprentice will find out who has been fired from the boys team.

But don’t forget what this is all about. The comedy is all done for a purpose, to help raise money for those in need in the UK and Africa.

During the BBC News at 22:00, turn over to BBC Two for Top Of The Pops where Franz Ferdinand, Oasis and Gavin and Stacey stars Rob Brydon and Ruth Jones will perform.

This is my only recommendation today so make sure you tune in for a great night of comedy, all in aid of Comic Relief.

Allen and Carr do the Cadburys Advert

2 03 2009

I posted the original advert on Friday but here is Lily Allen and Alan Carr making a mockery of the ad on The Sunday Night Project. Thought it was quite funny even if I am not Alan Carr’s biggest fan…

The video will not play for some reason but here is the link for it on YouTube.
