My name is Lee Collins and I am currently in my second year at University. I am studying Journalism at the University of Westminster in Harrow, North London. I can tell you that my life here is very different to life back home. I am originally from Cornwall and probably couldn’t live much further South West. Life in the country and life in the city is so different and I see both as an escape for very different reasons.
In Cornwall, I live in a small village called Perranuthnoe. It has it’s own beach and pub and is idyllic. Some may think I am being biased but it really is. There is no greater place on earth in my opinion. At home I live with my mum, dad and sister who I miss very much when I am up in London. I have a huge family and lots of amazing friends back home and when I do go home there is nothing better than relaxing on the beach or in the pub with my mates. Driving is also a big thing in my life, there is nothing better than turning up the music and going for a long Sunday afternoon drive around the coast!
Back up to London now and what a difference. I am pleased to say that up here I also have amazing friends who I am sure I will stay in contact with for a very long time. City life is certainly a buzz and I love it! The thing about living in London is that there is so much going on, I could never get bored, no matter how many times I go to the same places, there are always other places waiting to be explored. I would like to think that no matter how much I love Cornwall, I could work in London when I graduate.
As a budding journalist, I am of course interested in the news and the media, but my interests also extend to TV, music and of course social networking and blogging. My friends are aware of my television addiction (and they want to find a cure) and I am often found spending time on either Facebook, WordPress or Twitter.
My blog has no real subject matter, a lot of the content will probably be television or media based but feel free to leave comments and tell me what you think is good or bad. Enjoy the blog and keep reading
